This is a great practical lesson that I obviously learned after the fact.

I was young and, like so many young people, thought I was invincible. As a result, I didn't structure my company in a way that it could be protected in case something happened that would impact my ability to work.

I like to think I wouldn't make the same mistake again. Hopefully my story helps other people realize they should put infrastructure in place to protect themselves and their companies from the same outcome.
