In my experience, it’s fairly common, particularly for young entrepreneurs who spent a long time struggling with money/resources.

Your story about what you teach your clients seems to be touching on the same thing. Lots of entrepreneurs don’t immediately understand that early profits aren’t really profits. It’s money that needs to be reinvested in the company in order to keep it growing.
