I suppose to some extent it depends what kinds of resources you’re starting with. If you’ve got tons of cash to hire employees from Day 1, then you can hire the skills you need. But if you’re cash-strapped and bootstrapping, complimentary skills seem like a top priority simply because so much needs to get done.
