Great question. And a difficult question.

On one hand, I want to say that, yes, more transparent and direct feedback is good. But, on the other hand, I can recognize the reality of the situation.

Specifically, how the heck can VCs be expected to give comprehensive feedback to every startup they reject? (Just as importantly, why should they... what's their benefit?) On top of that, a VC's feedback isn't necessarily good feedback. Besides, VCs reject startups for all sorts of reasons that have nothing to do with the startups themselves and more to do with the logistics of a firm.

In other word, while I like the idea of more transparent and constructive feedback, the practicality of it is difficult.
