Great point. The challenge for artists is a constant challenge because technologies keep evolving and it's a race to keep up.

For what it's worth, the central argument of my dissertation was that the point at which a technology fails is the point at which an art begins.

In other words, the fight between art and technology is, in many ways, core to the existence of both.
